Program Coordinator 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Credit Counselor to join our team as a Program Coordinator. The Credit Counselor for Program Coordinator will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating credit counseling programs and services. This position requires expertise in credit analysis, financial counseling, and program management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing program operations, providing client support, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality credit counseling services. Additionally, the Program Coordinator will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimize program effectiveness and meet the needs of clients seeking financial empowerment. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Program Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of credit counseling programs, ensuring they are delivered efficiently and in accordance with program guidelines. 

  • Credit Analysis: Analyze clients' credit reports, credit scores, and financial information to develop personalized financial plans and recommendations. 

  • Financial Counseling: Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to clients, addressing their financial concerns and offering actionable solutions for debt management and credit improvement. 

  • Client Support: Offer ongoing support to clients throughout the credit counseling process, guiding them towards achieving their financial goals. 

  • Resource Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external partners to connect clients with relevant community resources and financial assistance programs. 

  • Program Evaluation: Monitor program outcomes and assess the effectiveness of credit counseling services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures. 

  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, counseling sessions, and program data. Prepare reports and data analysis as required. 

  • Training and Development: Provide training and support to credit counseling staff to enhance their knowledge and skills in credit analysis and financial counseling. 

  • Compliance: Ensure program compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, and funding requirements. 

  • Community Outreach: Participate in community events, workshops, and public engagements to promote credit counseling services and financial literacy. 

Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. Relevant certifications in credit counseling or program management are advantageous. 

  • Proven experience as a Credit Counselor or Financial Counselor, with experience in program coordination and management. 

  • Strong knowledge of credit analysis, financial planning, and debt management strategies. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and stakeholders. 

  • Empathy, patience, and a client-focused approach to financial counseling. 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate program activities, ensuring efficient service delivery. 

  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including credit analysis software and budgeting applications. 

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in program documentation and reporting. 

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. 

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for meetings and training sessions.
